Engaging with teachers to share the benefits of Step In for Schools

Social Engine Director Avis Johns met with Headteachers in Barking & Dagenham recently to talk about the benefits of Step In for Schools and how the programme can help with tackling issues in their schools.

In a productive discussion afterwards, they discussed how to introduce these challenging topics to young children. Engaging parents was another key idea and how a community based approach, with a better partnership between parents, schools and children can create a shared vocabulary and make it easier to have family discussions to support classroom learning.
