Conditions of use

We have shared ThisHasToSTOP Toolkit to support collective action to prevent misogyny and violence against women and girls (VAWG).

We encourage organisations to adapt and build upon these materials to meet local needs, contexts and communities.

Licence

Unless otherwise stated, toolkit resources are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution licence (CC BY 4.0). This means you are free to use, share, copy, adapt and redistribute the materials for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to This Has to STOP.

This should include the logo and web address at a readily available location, eg a citation page, the footer of a page, an end slide or the internal cover of a document.

Adapting the materials/resources

We recognise that every community is different. Users are encouraged to adapt campaign materials, training resources and educational content to reflect local audiences, priorities and delivery settings. When adapting resources, please acknowledge that changes have been made and ensure that adaptations remain aligned with the evidence-informed principles and aims of the toolkit.

Using the ThisHasToSTOP brand

Please reference the toolkit as the source of adapted materials, but please ensure you make it clear that you have made adaptations and that these are the outputs of your organisation or programme, not ThisHasToSTOP. Substantially modified resources should not be presented as official ThisHasToSTOP materials.

Co-branding

You are welcome to use your own borough or organisation logo alongside the ThisHasToSTOP and Step In brands, as long as the overall publication reflects the values and intentions of the initiative.

Responsible use

The Toolkit is intended to support the prevention of misogyny and violence against women and girls through education, behaviour change and community action. Materials must not be used to promote discrimination, hatred, harassment or activities that conflict with these aims.

Feedback and improvement

We encourage users to test, adapt and improve the resources. We are always keen to see how the resources are used, so please do share with us any examples of what you’ve created so we can understand and learn about any potential future needs of Toolkit users. Let’s work together to build a safer world for women and girls.
